Racing at HFCC Racing

HFCC Racing organises various races during the season. All planned dates can be found on the homepage. Wednesday club night is the weekday moment to drive; thanks to track lighting, testing and racing can continue after sunset. Several evenings each year are club race nights.

Anyone with a 1:10 electric model car can take part, provided the car meets the technical regulations. Guest drivers are very welcome and can register through MyRCM.

The HFCC championship uses several racing classes. Drivers can enter one or more classes. National races also regularly take place on our circuit, such as the Dutch Championship (NOMAC) and the Dutch Tamiya Challenge.

HFCC Racing race regulations

Adopted by HFCC Racing. Applies to all club races and classes.

These regulations apply to all classes and club races.
Races are announced through the HFCC calendar on the website.
A class starts with at least 4 pre-registered drivers.
Every participant drives with a working transponder.

One qualification heat of 30 minutes per class, possibly shorter for evening races. If a driver does not qualify, they start at the back of the grid in registration order.
The three fastest consecutive laps count for the result, taking balance of performance into account; see article 3.
Maximum 10 drivers per heat; with more participants the heat is split.
The best 10 go to the A-final, the next 10 to the B-final, and so on.
Race control may adjust the grouping, for example 11 drivers as 6 in A and 5 in B.

Finals have a maximum of 10 drivers per heat.
Evening races: 3 finals of 5 minutes for all classes.
Day races: 3 finals of 7 minutes. Tamiya Group C drives 1 normal 7-minute final and 1 long 14-minute final.
The best 2 results count. For Group C there is no dropped result; the long final counts double.
Points: winner of the A-final = 1 point, 2nd = 2 points, and so on.
For evening races in 2026, balance of performance applies. On race day, drivers agree a base lap time. Laps below that base time are removed from the results.

Tiebreak:

Result without dropped score.
Qualification result.

HFCC organises individual races and events. Points may be awarded for a day result, but there is no season-long championship standing.

Before finals: battery voltage and weight check.
After the heat: check of other technical points.

Telemetry and gyros are prohibited.
Reversing is prohibited.
Cars must have the correct start number unless otherwise specified.
A drivers' briefing is held before the race; attendance is mandatory.

Race control may, in consultation with the board, grant exemptions for certain classes, for example for beginners.

Maximum 12A charging current and 20A discharging current.
Charging only in a LiPo bag.

During qualifying, marshalling is voluntary.
During finals, marshalling is carried out as usual.

Late or insufficient marshalling - penalty:

First time: warning.
After that: deduction of 1 lap from the best final result.

For individual club events other than regular club races, these regulations may be deviated from. If this is not explicitly stated, the club race regulations apply.
